SKUTCH
Dr Alexander Skutch was an American field ornithologist who from 1941-2004 studied birds at his remote Costa Rican farm, Finca Los Cusingos (every significant Costa Rican property needs a name). He was a prolific writer of books and guides, including “A Naturalist in Tropical Splendor,” from which these excerpts were taken.
